Porsche key replacement by Einstein Locksmith

Lost your Porsche key? We make a new one at your car.

Porsche keys are ordered through the dealer to your VIN and programmed in the service department. For many models we make the key at the car instead, at your home or office.

Einstein Locksmith is a mobile locksmith based in Boca Raton. We come to wherever your Porsche is parked, cut the key, program it to the car, and you drive away. Call or text (561) 561-5397 with the year and model and you get a price before we come out.

What we do for Porsche owners

  • All keys lost. Every Porsche key is gone. We make a new one from the car itself and delete the lost keys, so a found key no longer starts it.
  • Spare and duplicate keys. The cheapest key you will ever buy is the second one, made while the first still works.
  • Key fobs and smart keys. Supplied, cut and programmed to the car.
  • Broken and worn keys. Extracted from the lock or ignition and replaced with a key cut to factory code.
  • Ignition repair. Key will not turn, or will not come out. See ignition repair.
  • Lockouts. Keys locked inside. See car lockout service.

The dealer, or a locksmith who comes to you

A Porsche dealer quoted $1,070 for a replacement key, with a programming fee of about $400. The key is ordered to your VIN, and the car has to be at the dealer.

With us there is no tow and nothing to order in most cases. Our price is typically well below the dealer’s, and you get it before we come out.

Porsche models we make keys for

911, Cayenne, Macan, Panamera, Boxster, Cayman, 718, Taycan, and others. If yours is not listed, ask.

Porsche key questions

How much does a Porsche key replacement cost?

It depends on the model, the year and the type of key, so we quote before we come out, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay. For comparison: a Porsche dealer quoted $1,070 for a replacement key, with a programming fee of about $400. The key is ordered to your VIN, and the car has to be at the dealer. Our price is typically well below the dealer’s.

Can you make a Porsche key without the original?

Yes in most cases. That is an all-keys-lost job: we make the new key from the car itself, at the car.

Do I have to tow my Porsche to the dealer for a key?

Often not. For many models we make and program the key at the car. Tell us the year and model when you call or text. If yours is one we cannot do, we will say so on the phone, before anyone drives anywhere.

Do I need to tow my Porsche to you?

No. We are a mobile locksmith, so there is no shop to tow to. We come to the car within about 30 miles of Boca Raton, across Palm Beach and Broward County.

How long does it take?

Most keys are cut and programmed in under an hour once we are at the car. High-security systems can take longer, and we tell you what to expect when you call.

Job file: 2020 Porsche Macan, all keys lost

On this Macan the key data is buried deep in the dash. It is a long, careful job: every trim piece comes out in order and goes back the same way. The dealer route is a tow, a key ordered from Germany and a bill to match.
