Home lockouts we handle

How we open a house door

1. Pick it. Most residential locks can be picked open. Nothing is damaged, and your key works as before.
2. Bypass it. Some latches and doors can be opened another way without touching the cylinder.
3. Drill it, only as a last resort. A high-security lock or a lock that has failed inside sometimes cannot be picked. If it comes to that, we tell you before we do it, and we replace the lock on the spot so your door is secure when we leave.

What we need from you

We only open a home for someone who lives there or is authorized to be there. A driver’s license with the address, a lease, a utility bill or a piece of mail is enough. If your ID is locked inside, we check it as soon as the door is open.

After you are back in

• Rekey if a key is lost, stolen, or was never returned by a tenant, contractor or ex.

How much does a house lockout cost?

It depends on the lock, the time of day and how far you are from Boca Raton. We quote the full price on the phone before we come out, and that is the price you pay.

Will you have to drill my lock?

Rarely. Most home locks are picked open with no damage. Drilling is a last resort for a high-security lock or one that has broken inside, and we tell you before we do it and replace the lock on the spot.

How long does it take to get in?

Once we are at the door, most homes are open within a few minutes. During business hours we are usually on site within the hour around Boca Raton.

I rent. Can you let me in?

Yes. If you live there and can show it (ID, lease or mail), we can open the door. Changing or rekeying the locks on a rental needs the owner’s or property manager’s approval.

My keys were stolen. What should I do?

Have the locks rekeyed the same day. Rekeying changes the inside of the lock so the old key no longer works, and you get new keys. It costs much less than replacing the locks.

Do you open homes at night?

Our hours are Monday to Thursday 9am to 10pm, Friday 9am to 2pm and Sunday 10am to 6pm, closed Saturday. After-hours emergency service is by appointment, so call or text and we will tell you honestly whether we can come.
